Start your file - Belgium

Client Onboarding

Tell us who you are, what you want to set up in Belgium and what you want us to handle. We read every answer and reply by email with the next steps for your file. No response time is promised.

How It Works

Three stages: submit the form, we review and reply by email, then documents and the file starts. Stage one, you submit the form. Stage two, we review your answers and reply by email. Stage three, you send the documents and the file starts. No stage carries a duration. 1 Submit the form 2 We review and reply by email 3 Documents, then the file starts No stage on this page carries a clock the only statutory window belongs to the notary, Art. 2:22/1 CSA
Three stages and no clock. Nothing here promises a reply time; the only statutory deadline belongs to the notary, ten working days from the signed deed, five with the platform's own model deed (Art. 2:22/1 CSA).
  1. Submit the form. Your company plan, the people behind it and the services you need. No account, no upload, nothing stored on this page.
  2. We read your answers and reply by email. Which company form fits what you described, which documents come first, and what we still need from you.
  3. You send the documents from the table below and the file starts. The notary appointment, the KBO/BCE registration and the other steps that open a Belgian file follow from there.

Everything before the notary appointment, from the first document to the last signature, starts in writing, in this one form, wherever you are today.

What We Will Need From You

What a Belgian file typically needs, by what you are registering. The founders-signed financial plan is Art. 5:4 CSA for a BV/SRL and Art. 7:3 CSA for an NV/SA, kept by the notary and never filed with the deed. The minimum capital of EUR 61,500 for an NV/SA is Art. 7:2 CSA, the blocked-account certificate Art. 7:12 CSA. The three-founder rule for a CV/SC is Art. 6:3 CSA. The private deed for VOF/SNC and CommV/SComm, with no notary and no minimum capital, is set out in the Code of Companies and Associations (business.belgium.be, accessed 2026-09-06). A foreign document such as a power of attorney generally needs legalisation or an apostille before a Belgian notary accepts it: confirmed for your file, not a blanket rule, since no published source states one for every case.
Entity type What we typically need from you Note
BV/SRL Identity documents for each shareholder and director; one to three name options for the KBO/BCE and BOIP check; an activity description and funding sources for the financial plan, signed by the founders The financial plan is handed to the notary and kept there, not filed with the deed
NV/SA The BV/SRL pack, plus evidence of the minimum capital and the bank certificate for the blocked account, dated before the deed The certificate proves the cash portion is deposited on a special account in the company's name
CV/SC The BV/SRL pack, plus a written description of the cooperative purpose for the articles At least three founders are required, on pain of nullity
VOF/SNC, CommV/SComm Identity documents for all partners The deed is private, signed by the parties themselves; no notary, no minimum capital
Branch The foreign parent's constitutive deed and articles, a certificate of existence from its home register, its latest annual accounts and the identity of the branch representative or representatives Filed before the branch opens, at the enterprise court registry
Subsidiary The BV/SRL or NV/SA pack, plus the parent's own constitutive documents and a certificate of good standing The parent becomes a corporate shareholder, recorded in block B
Ready-made company Identity documents for the incoming shareholder and director Prepares the transfer deed and the entry in the company's share register

How We Handle Your Information

What you send reaches [email protected] and nowhere else, behind three layers of spam protection: a hidden honeypot field, a Cloudflare Turnstile check and a rate limit that block automated submissions before anyone reads them. This page stores no client files: identity documents are requested over a secure link. See our privacy policy for what is kept and for how long.

Questions About the Form

What happens after I submit the form?

We read every answer you send and reply by email with the next steps for your file: which company form fits what you described, which documents come first, and what we still need from you. No response time is promised anywhere on this site, so we do not print one here either.

Do I need to travel to Belgium to sign?

No. Belgian company law lets the incorporation deed be signed before a notary in person, electronically through the notarial e-platform, or remotely by videoconference before two notaries, with a proxy standing in for anyone who cannot attend (Art. 2:22/1 CSA, in force since 1 August 2021). We handle the proxy paperwork either way.

What documents will you ask me for?

The documents depend on the company form you choose, set out in the table above. A document issued outside Belgium, such as a power of attorney, typically needs legalisation or an apostille before a Belgian notary accepts it; we confirm the exact requirement for your file, since no single published rule covers every case.

Is my information kept private?

Yes. What you send reaches [email protected] and nowhere else, behind a honeypot field, a Cloudflare Turnstile check and a rate limit that block spam before anything is read. See "How we handle your information" above and our privacy policy for what is kept and for how long.

I found a ready-made company on your list. Can I start here?

Yes. Use the reference from the listing in the ready-made company reference field on this form, or start at the ready-made companies list and use the Request button beside the company you want; either route reaches us with the same reference attached.
